Abstract

    Friedrich Engels - "the great master of the modern proletariat of the world." He gave profound and scientific arguments about the working class and the union, about the role of unions in developing the revolutionary movement of the working class. The working class and the Progressive Union all over the world have always considered Friedrich Engels' theories of the working class and unions as the great doctrine that has been applying creatively to the lively reality and constantly replenishing and developing. Adopting the thought of Friedrich Engels, Vietnamese unions have continued to change their minds, innovate their organization, content and method of operation, strive to bring into play the role of a center of gathering, uniting and educating unionists and workers; performing well the representative functions, protecting the rights and interests of unionists and workersers, participating in economic and social management and performing well the propagating and mobilizing functions. Vietnam's trade union activities are always under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, and focus on cooperation with trade unions and international organizations.
