Employment of sociology students after graduation at trade union university

Abstract

     This study examined 251 sociology students graduated from Trade Union University by means of convenientsampling. Methods used for primary data analysis include descriptive statistics, two-variable correlation analysis. The results showthat students have a high statistically significant employment, not too long time to look for work, jobs relating to education andtraining and more dominant are socio-political organizations. Two important job search channels, useful supports for students aftergraduation are through family, friends, and relatives. However, there are still many students who work in unskilled jobs that do notfit the profession and skills they were trained at university.
