Digital economy: trends, opportunities, challenges and policy implications for Vietnam

Abstract

   This paper frames the introduction of the Digital Economy, the main platforms for the emergence of the DigitalEconomy. The main driver of the Digital Economy is the continued enhancement of information and technology, especially the speedof microchip. Second, new opportunities and challenges which the economies in the world, especially developing countries likeVietnam, have to deal with. Finally, there are some policy implications for Vietnam, focusing on policy framework and infrastructureand human resources development.
