Solutions to improve union activities in countries state administrative agencies

Abstract

    In the Vietnam state administrative agencies, the Trade Union was established in accordance with the Charter and guiding the implementation of the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union and operates under the leadership of the same level Party Committee.   The duties and powers of the grassroots trade union have some differences with the activities of the union in enterprises because of the specific characteristics of the profession. That point has been clearly stated in the Trade Union Charter and the Implementation Guidelines of the 12th Vietnam Trade Union Charter. However, in the process of organizing and implementing, trade union activities sometimes fail to comply with the prescribed duties and powers. The following article will show out the salient features of grassroots trade unions in state administrative agencies and propose some solutions to improve operations of union activities in public administrations.
