Enhancing business performance of Vietnam development bank

Abstract

    Vietnam Development Bank (VDB) is a policy bank which was established by Vietnamese government. The main function of VDB is distributing state credit for the key fields which the government develops. However, extending credit in VDB has revealed some drawbacks, which results in the high non – performing loan rate and huge financial deficit. This article serves to evaluate the practice in business performance of VDB and do research on experiences of operations of some development bank in the world, which enables author to put forward some solutions for enhancing business performance of this bank.
