Improving the legal framework for green banks in Viet Nam

Abstract

   Climate change, environmental pollution, water scarcity, population growth have been a constant threat of countries around the world. That makes VietNam as well as many countries towards a sustainable development model. The national strategy on green growth in the period of 2011-2020 and vision until 2050 has shown that green growth is the cause of the whole Party, the whole people, all levels of government, ministries and sectors ... This strategy is indispensable to an important factor of green banks. However, the legal framework for green banking operations in Vietnam is still quite sketchy and not highly enforced. The question is how to improve the legal framework to encourage green banks to grow, contributing to the implementation of the country's sustainable development goals?
