THE STANDARDIZED KNOWLEDGE OF POSTURE AND MOVEMENTOF PATIENTS AFTER SURGERY OF LUMBARHERNIATED DISC AT NAM DINH GENERAL HOSPITAL

Objective: To changing knowledge and practice about posture and movement of patients after lumbar herniated disc surgery. Method: Health education was directly assessed before and after the intervention without a control group. Results: Knowledge of wearing the brace rightly when changing positions and practising movement before intervention was 3,3%, after that it increased to 76,7%. Right back posture was 6,7% and after intervention it increased to 80%. Correct movement posture when standing and walking before intervention was 16,7% and after it increased to 70%.The correct posture when carrying heavy objects before intervention was 10% and after that it increased to 76,7%. The back posture was correct, straight and balanced when carrying heavy objects before intervention was 40% and after intervention it increased to 80%. Practicing posture and right movement right on the first day after surgery- lying on a hard board with thin padding before intervention was13,3% after that it reached to 80%. After 3 hours of stretching limp rightly before intervention was 23,3% and after intervention it reached to 83,3%. The correct squat posture before intervention reached 30% but after intervention it was 90,0%. Correct postural spine when carrying heavy objects before intervention was 20% and after intervention it reached 93,3%. Conclusion: The right practice knowledge of posture and movement of patients after surgery of lumbar herniated disc improvedsignificantly after the intervention.Downloads
