THE SITUATION OF ATTITUDES AND FACTORS RELATED TO BREAST-FEEDING RIGHT AFTER BIRTH-GIVING OF PREGNANT WOMENEXAMINED AT NAM DINH HOSPITAL OF OBSTETRICSAND GYNECOLOGY IN 2020

Objective: To describe the situation of breast-feeding right after birth of pregnants examined at Nam Dinh Hospital of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2020 and to learn about some factors related to the attitudes of breastfeeding right after birth of pregnants examined at Nam Dinh Hospital of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Method: Cross-sectional descriptive study conducted from December to June 2019 on 153 pregnant women examined at Nam Dinh Hospital of Obstetricsand Gynecology. Those were interviewed directly by pre-designed survey questionnaire about attitudes about breastfeeding and breastfeeding right after birth. Results: The percentage of pregnant women with the right attitude towards breastfeeding right after giving birth is 80.4% and the incorrect attitude is 19.6%. The rate of pregnant women has the right attitude towards breastfeeding that is a good measure to help protect the health of both mother and baby is 99.3%. The proportion of pregnant women with the right attitude towards the benefits of exclusive breastfeeding is 86.3%. The proportion of pregnant women with the right attitude about the need to breastfeed at any time of day or night is 81.7%. There is a statistically correlation between occupation, magnification of the benefit of formula milk and women's confidence with attitude towards breastfeeding right after birth-giving. The is a statistic difference with p <0.05. Conclusion: The attitude towards breastfeeding right after birth-giving of pregnant women is relatively good.Downloads
