SOME FACTORS RELATED TO NUTRITIONAL STATUS OF PEOPLE WITH TYPE 2 DIABETES TREATMENT AT HOSPITAL NAM DINH PROVINCE

Abstract

Objectives:Identify some factors related to the nutritional status of type 2 diabetes patients treated at Nam Dinh general hospital in 2022. Methods: The study described cross-sectional on 98 patients diagnosed with type 2 diabetes who were being treated at Nam Dinh General Hospital from March to May 2022. Results: Nutritional status of patients with type 2 diabetes according to SGA: There are 81.6% of patients with SGA A nutritional status, 18.4% of patients with SGA B nutritional status, 0% of patients with SGA B nutritional status. Nutritional status SGA C. No relationship was found between sex, age, education level, occupation, and nutritional status of diabetic patients according to SGA (p > 0.05). Eating habits, smoking, physical activity, 24-hour diet are related to the nutritional status of patients with type 2 diabetes being treated at Nam Dinh Provincial General Hospital.Conclusion: Most of the patients had good nutritional status (81.6%). It is necessary to strengthen propaganda and counseling activities for people with diabetes on pathological nutrition, behavior and lifestyle
