Abstract

Objectives: Reviewing the results of nurses’ implementation of patient care according to the primary care assignment model by unit at Hai Duong Provincial General Hospital in 2023. Methods: Cross-sectional descriptive study was carried out on 274 nurses working in clinical departments implementing the primary care assignment model at Hai Duong Provincial General Hospital from April 1, 2023 to October 30, 2023. Results: According to the primary care assignment model: Regarding human resource assignment reaching ≥ 80%: There were 15 departments achieving 100%, 7 departments achieving 80%. Internal order and hospital room hygiene reached 90.9%: There were 16 departments achieving 100%, 4 departments achieving 75% and 2 departments achieving 50%. Care facilities reached 96.9%: There were 20 departments achieving 100%, 2 departments achieving 66.67%. Fulfillment of care requirements reached 89.8%: There were 8 departments achieving 100%, 4 departments achieving from 90% to under 100%, 6 departments achieving from 80% to under 90%, 2 departments achieving < 70%. Training on the primary care assignment model reached 90.9%: There were 18 departments achieving 100%, 4 departments achieving 50%. Conclusion: The results of nurses’ implementation of patient care according to the unit-based primary care assignment model at Hai Duong Provincial General Hospital in 2023 were quite good, most reaching over 80%.
