Improving nurse-led nutritional support for patients with cancer:A protocol using co-design approac

Abstract

Background: In Vietnam, cancer is a problem that is challenging the whole health care system. Cancer treatment improves survival rates but also causes many nutrition-related side effects. Objective: Design and implement an intervention program that builds the capacity of nurses to support nutrition for patients. Methodology: Use a co-designed approach to develop and implement an intervention program that involves all stakeholders (researchers, oncologists, dietitians, nurses and patients). Conclusion: An effective and feasible intervention program will be developed and implemented to help improve the capacity of nurses in nutritional support for cancer patients
