Abstract

Objectives: Assessing sleep quality of nursing students at Tay Nguyen University. Methods: Cross-sectional descriptive study on 155 nursing students at Tay Nguyen University from November 2023 to March 2024.Assess the sleep quality of study participants using the PSQI scale. Results: The average PSQI score of students was 6.45 ± 3.47. Students with poor sleep quality accounted for 56.8%. The average sleep duration of students were 6.07 ± 0.84 hours; Students who need sleeping pills to help sleep account for 11%. Students self-rated their sleep quality as very good, quite good, quite bad, very bad: 41.3%; 29%; 21.3% and 8.4%. Các rối loạn thường gặp khiến sinh viên gián đoạn giấc ngủ chiếm tỷ lệ cao nhất là “Không thể ngủ trong vòng 30 phút” chiếm tỷ lệ 84,5% trong đó việc lặp lại tình trạng này <1 lần/tuần chiếm tỷ lệ cao nhất 40%. Conclusion: Poor sleep quality among nursing students were high (56.8%). Therefore, nursing educators and managers need to pay attention to this situation and then develop appropriate intervention programs
