Current status of knowledge and attitudes regarding cervical cancer prevention among female nursing students at Hanoi Medical College

Abstract
Objective: To describe the knowledge and attitude towards cervical cancer prevention among female students at Hanoi Medical College in 2024. Subjects and methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted on 385 female students from the first to the third year at Hanoi Medical College. Results: The average knowledge score of the study subjects on cervical cancer prevention was 14.7 ± 2.54 (out of a maximum score of 22) reach 53,5%. The average attitude score of the study subjects towards cervical cancer prevention was 15.1 ± 4.8 (out of a maximum score of 26) reach 70,4%. Conclusion: Students have a good understanding of cervical cancer prevention, but their knowledge about screening and risk factors is still limited. Despite their positive attitudes, many students remain complacent and have not fully implemented preventive measures. This indicates a need for further efforts to enhance knowledge and encourage proactive actions to protect their health.
