THE REALITY OF TREATMENT ADHERENCE OF OUT PATIENTSWITH HYPERTENSION IN QUANG NINH GENERAL HOSPITAL IN 2017

Abstract

Objectives: To describe the status of adherence to treatment of hypertension of outpatients. Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted from 11/2016 to 7/2017. 250 patients were randomly selected from all hypertensive patients undergoing outpatient management at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Quang Ninh. The subjects were interviewed directly with a design questionnaire consisting of 22 sentences, each with 3 options. Subjects with a total score of ≥ 50 points are considered treatment adherents. Results: The percentage of patients who did not increase or decrease their dosage was over 75%. The Frequency of eating reduces the amount of salt, fat, sugar and processed foods of the patients are> 50%. Regular follow-up and weight control were low at only 14.0%. On average, 34.4% of outpatients take regular breaks every day. Conclusions: The overall adherence rate was 79.6%. The majority of patients did not focus on home blood pressure measurement, weight monitoring and control, and no methods to reduce stress.
