ASSESSMENT OF MATERNAL AND NEWBORN CARE DURING AND IMMEDIATELY AFTER BIRTH IN HANOI HOSPITAL IN 2018

Objectives: To assess the activities of maternal and newborn care in and after birth at the Hanoi Obstetrics Hospital in 2018. Method: The mother gave birth at the Hanoi Obstetrics Hospital, agreed to participate in the study.The method described cross sectional. Results: The mean score was 94,0 ± 5,4, the rate of children receiving immediate postnatal skin transplants was 86,7%, with 0,2% of children not receiving skin-to-skin contact with their mother 13,1% of children were skin-to-skin but not enough time.The percentage of mothers who did not have a full-time uterine lump every 15 minutes during the first 2 hours of birth was 9,5%, 1,2% had health-care workers miscarried, only 89,3% Make good uterine massage every 15 minutes in the first 2 hours after birth. 14,5% of mothers did not receive counseling on signs of breastfeeding, 23,3% were counseled but not enough, only 62,2% were consulted adequately and thoroughly. Conclusion: Health care workers implement essential care for mothers and newborns but still need to promote counseling and breastfeeding support.
