CHANGES IN THE SELF - CARE KNOWLEDGE OF PATIENTS WITH COPD IN QUANG NINH PROVINCIAL GENERAL HOSPITAL IN 2017

Objectives: To evaluate the change of self-care knowledge of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease at the internal medicine department of Quang Ninh province general hospital in 2017. Method: intervention research with comparison before and after From 3/2016 - 7/2017, over 60 patients were randomly selected from all chronic obstructive pulmonary disease being managed at the Internal Medicine Department, Quang Ninh General Hospital. The subjects were interviewed directly with a pre-designed questionnaire consisting of 18 sentences, each of which could have many options. Objects with a total score of ≥ 36 points are consideredto gain knowledge. Results: 35% of the respondents knew that the main cause of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease was smoking after intervention reached 100%, 63.3% of the study subjects were regularly re-examined after the intervention. The rate of this card increased to 93.8%, 21.7% of the study participants made the decision to re-examine so that the doctor decided that when the illness became severe after the intervention, this rate increased to 100 % before intervention 33.3% of the study subjects often shook the vial before using after 100% intervention. Conclusion: The rate of self-care knowledge of patients before intervention is 26.7%, the rate of self-care knowledge of patients after intervention is 100%.Downloads
