FACTORS AFFECT TO TREATMENT ADHERENCE OF OUTPATIENTS WITH TYPE2 DIABETES IN QUANG NINH PROVINCIAL GENERAL HOSPITAL 2016

Abstract

Objective: To determine the factors related to type 2 diabetic outpatientadherence treatment in Quang Ninh Provincial Hospital. Method: Cross-sectional analysis was performed on 198 - type 2 Diabetes outpatients in Quang Ninh Provincial Hospital from April to October2016. Results: Epidemiological factors including duration of acquired diabetes, knowledge, the number of chronic diseases/ complications of diabetes, the frequency and satisfaction rate about information received from health workers. Conclusion: Supportive measures are needed to help clients comply with treatment such as phone calls, distribution of adherence guidelines, increased support from relatives and families, etc. to improve patients’ understanding - about type 2 diabetes, limiting factors affected to adherence to treatment.
