THE USE OF HOME-INJECTION OF THE PATIENTS PREPARING FOR IVF AT NATIONAL HOSPITAL OF OBSTETRICS AND GYNECOLOGY IN 2018

Abstract

Objective: To describe the current situation of using injections at home by the patients who were going to have IVF (in vitro fertilization) treatment of infertility at the Central Obstetrics Hospital in 2018. Method: We took the survey of 30 infertile patients having in vitro fertilization at the National Reproductive Support Center. The available survey checklist was used to do the survey with the direct interviews. We made the evaluation after the interviews, then gathered the data and did the statistics. Results: After being instructed, 100% patients knew the procedure of in-home injection, the patients were aware of the number of injections, 73,3% of whom felt satisfied when doing their self-injection, 76,7% of whom found no difficulties in doing their self-injection. 93,3% of them had no worries about injecting on time. 83,3% of the patients said that they felt convenient when injecting at home... Conclusion: Good instructions for the patients to do self-injection at home will reduce time, cost, and mental burden for patients and treatment places.
