PAIN SITUATION OF PATIENTS AFTER LOWER LIMB BONE SURGERY AT THE INJURY DEPARTMENT IN NAM DINH GENERAL HOSPITAL IN 2019

Objective: To assessing the pain level of patients during 72 hours after surgery of leg bone in the Orthopedic Department of Nam Dinh General Hospital in 2019. Method: The cross-sectional study was implemented from 11/2018 to 5/2019, made direct interviews with the subjects with 4 questionnaires consisting of 19 sentences. Results: Maleaccounted for 57.26%, femaleaccounted for 42.74%. The average age of the patients was 53.68 ± 16.05, the smallest was 18 years, the largest was 88 years. Major occupations are agriculture and workers with 43.59% and 35.04% respectively. Participants with lower secondary education accounted for 46.15%. The majority of participants were 76.07% married. The average total pain points after surgery of lower limb bone within 72 hours are (27,21; 23,24; 18.79) respectively. Conclusion: The study results showed that, on average, the total pain points of patients after surgery combined lower limb bones (femur, femoral neck, tibial plateau and leg bone) suffered the most in the first 24 hours, pain decreasing on day 2 and less pain on day 3.Downloads
