EVALUATING MANAGEMENT ACTIVITIES RESULTS OF THE HEAD NURSE AT THE DISTRICT HEALTH FACILITIES IN NAM DINH PROVINCE IN 2019

Abstract

Objective: To describe the current status of management activities and identify some factors affecting the management performance of the head nurse at district health facilities in Nam Dinh province. Method: Cross-sectional descriptive study, combining quantitative research and qualitative research conducted from December 2018 to June 2019 on 100 head of nurses working at hospitals / district health centers in Nam Dinh province. Subjects participated in the study by responding to self report questionnaires, and additional comments on nursing management from unit leaders and nurses. Results: The majority of nurses reach the task completion rate at 73%; 27% of nurses did not reach the level of accomplishing the task; The time spent on management of head nurse is limited: 77%(> 50%/day); 23%(<50%/day). Conclusion: Nursing management in district health facilities in Nam Dinh province is also in the general context of health facilities in Vietnam, and head of nurses also had to take on many other tasks in their job but most of them completed the assigned task.
