QUALITY OF LIFE OF PATIENTS AFTER STROKE TREATED AT HA GIANG GENERAL HOSPITAL IN 2021

Objective: To describe the current state of quality of life and identify some factors related to the quality of life of patients after a cerebral stroke at Ha Giang General Hospital in 2021. Method: A cross-sectional descriptive study on 164 patients after cerebral stroke aged 18 years and older at Ha Giang General Hospital from January 2021 to the end of May 2021. Results: Overall quality of life of patients after stroke according to EQ5D5L scale is 0,32 ± 0,25. Quality of life index of patients after stroke according to walking (0,18 ± 0.12), self-care (0,10 ± 0.06), routine activities (0,11 ± 0.07), Pain/discomfort (0,20 ± 0,07), anxiety/melancholy (0,09 ± 0.04).The majority of patients after cerebral stroke have a low quality of life (99,4%), high quality of life accounts for only 0,6%. Conclusions: The quality of life of patients after a stroke at Ha Giang General Hospital is relatively low. The quality of life of patients is related to age, occupation, education level, place of residence, smoking habits, number of strokes, dominant hand and foot, and daily living function.
