ASSESSMENT OF NURSES’ RESPONSE TO THE PREVENTION AND TREATMENT OF ANAPHYLAXIS AT HOSPITOL 19-8, MINISTRY OF PUBLIC SECURITY IN 2021

Abstract

Objective: To describe the situation of nursing responsiveness in prevention and treatment of anaphylaxis at Hospital 19 - 8, Ministry of Public Security in 2021, to identify factorsrelated to prevention and treatment of anaphylaxis at the Hospital 2021. Method: Cross-sectional study was carried out among 258 nurses according to sample selection criteria. Results: 61.2% of the subjects achieved knowledge about bothanaphylaxis recognition, prevention and management. The rate of subjects reaching the attitude of recognizing, preventing and treating anaphylaxis was 65.1%. The rate of obtained both the practice of recognizing and dealing with anaphylaxis through the hypothetical situation was 40.3%. Conclusion: Attitude to know anaphylaxis obtain and attitude to prevent anaphylaxis obtain are statistically significant factors with the ability to handle anaphylaxis of researched subjects. Subjects who practice anaphylaxis obtain have a higher rate of passing the ability to handle anaphylaxis than those who fail to practice anaphylaxis. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen additional training, update knowledge on anaphylaxis recognition, prevention and management in hospitals every year to maintain, reinforce and improve the nurses’ ability to recognize, prevent and treat anaphylaxis.
