SITUATION OF CARE OF PATIENTS AFTER BILE DUCT FIBRILLATOR SURGERY OF NURSING AT NINH BINH PROVINCIAL HOSPITAL

Abstract

Objectives: The status of nursing care for patients after surgery for common bile duct stones and determining some related factors at Ninh Binh Provincial General Hospital. Method: A cross-sectional descriptive study on 18 nurses taking care of 181 patients after surgery for common bile duct from April 2022 to September 2022 at the Department of General Surgery, Ninh Province General Hospital. Results: The percentage of nurses taking care of patients after surgery for common bile duct drainage was 85.6%. Age group of nurses is related to patient care after surgery (OR = 1.68; 0.34 - 4.33) with p < 0.05. Professional qualifications of nurses are related to patient care after surgery (OR = 3.70; 1.89 - 7.25) with p < 0.05. Nursing seniority is related to patient care after surgery (OR = 3.81; 1.50 - 9.69) with p < 0.05. Conclusion: The outcome of nursing care after surgery for common bile duct drainage is quite high. The age group, professional qualifications, and seniority of nurses are related to the quality of patient care after surgery with statistical significance with p < 0.05. There should be a training plan to improve the qualifications of nurses to improve the quality of patient care after surgery
