Abstract
Objectives: Describe the quality of life of patients before and after lung cancer treatment at Military Hospital 103, in 2021. Methods: face-to-face interviews with 192 patients at 02 time points before and after treatment 1 month using the EORTC QLQ – C30 toolkit. Regulations on response on quality of life are as follows: With Δ = score after treatment – score before treatment. Overall health and function: Improves if Δ ≥ 10, stable if: -10 <Δ< 10, worsens if: Δ ≤ -10. Symptoms and finances: Improves if Δ ≤ -10, Stable if: -10 <Δ< 10, worsens if Δ ≥ 10. Result: The patient’s mean overall CLCS score is 60.2 ± 12.7 before treatment and 71.9 ± 9.8 after treatment. In which before and after according to physical function groups are 45.7 ± 9.7 and 50.9 ± 10.6, functional function is 48.2 ± 14.6 and 58.2 ± 15.3, respectively. cognitive function is 79.0 ± 18.7 and 91.2 ± 11.5, emotional function is 65.1 ± 17.9 and 78.9 ± 19.6, social function is 39.3 ± 21.1 and 63.6 ± 22.0, overall health is 38.6 ± 10.0 and 48.7 ± 9.0, financial impact is 54.4 ± 36.8 and 44.4 ± 25.2. The average scores of common symptoms were: pain (58.1 and 65.3 points), shortness of breath (41.1 and 55.9 points). Conclusion: The patient’s quality of life is average, after 1 month of treatment, there is a change but not much, it is necessary to intervene in factors such as pain, anxiety, economic influence to improve the quality of life. quality of the patient.Downloads
