FIND OUT SOME FACTORS RELATED TO PRACTICE OF KANGAROO METHODS OF MOTHERS WITH A TERM BORN IN THE NEEDY DEPARTMENT HANOI MATERNITY HOSPITAL

Abstract
Objectives:Find outsome factors related to Kangaroo method practice of mothers with premature babies at the neonatology department of Hanoi Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital . Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study on 108 mothers of premature babies at Hanoi Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital from March 2021 to the end of June 2021. Results: 97.2% of mothers have never performed Kangaroo method before. The rate of practice achieving (from 80% - 100%) steps of child care by Kangaroo method is 78.7%. There is no relationship between the obstetric history, the child’s characteristics and the mothers’ Kangaroo practice. Conclusion: The mothers’ practice of achieving child care steps is quite high. Mothers who have practiced Kangaroo method for more than 7 days have a statistically significant higher rate of Pass practice than mothers who have performed child care for 7 days or less
