Abstract

Objective: describe the status of treatment adherence of type 2 diabetes patients undergoing outpatient treatment at Tue Tinh Hospital. Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study design was carried out from February 2022 to December 2022 at Tue Tinh Hospital. The study subjects were 200 patients >18 years old, diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, who are being treated as outpatients, have sufficient communication ability to answer interviews and agree to participate in the study. Use the self-fill method to collect research information. Results: Specifically, the percentage of NB practicing compliance with all 04 regimes accounted for only 29.5%. In which, the percentage of patients who adhered to the nutrition regime accounted for the highest rate of 64%; 62.5% of patients adhere to physical activity. The rate of patients complying with blood sugar testing and periodic follow-up was the lowest, only 22.5%. Conclusion: the rate of patient adherence to treatment is still low, so it is necessary to research solutions to help patients better adhere to treatment
