Abstract

Objectives: Survey on the level of work pressure and factors causing work strees of nurses working in Vinmec Healthcare System. Subjects and research methods: Cross-sectional descriptive study using the Work Stress Scale questionnaire built on the basis of The American Institute of Stress’s work stress scale. The study was conducted from December 2021 to May 2022 on nurses working in inpatient departments in hospitals of the Vinmec Health system. Results: There were 327 nurses participating in the study, with the majority being female (81.7%), having university degrees (62.0%), and having worked for more than 5 years (78.5%). The level of work stress among nurses was mostly low. The highest scores were financial pressure (31.8%) and workload (15.9%). Gender, educational level, and working experience had significant associations with the level of work stress, at p ≤ 0.05. Conclusion: Research has shown that nurses working in Vinmec Healthcare System are under many different levels of pressure caused by factors that create pressure at work. Gender, Education level, and Intensiveness are related to factors that create pressure at work such as: financial factors, workload, working hours, relationships at work and weaknesses. factors outside of work. These relationships are statistically significant (p < 0.05).
