DETERMINATION OF GROWTH POLES IN THANH HOA PROVINCE

Abstract

The article presents the growth pole theory in the current context, selecting 7 index to identify growth poles including: economic density, Herfindahl-Hirschman, polarization index, export share index, foreign investment share index, innovation index, average income index head and applying them to identify growth poles at Thanh Hoa province. As a result Thanh Hoa province has 2 growth poles that are Thanh Hoa city and Nghi Son town and 2 potential growth poles that are Sam Son city Bim Son town. The article also proposes some solutions to accelerate the development of these growth poles by 2030.
