COMPONENTS, DISTRIBUTION AND DIVERSITY OF LADYBIRD (COCCINELLIDAE) AT PU LUONG NATURE RESERVE, THANH HOA PROVINCE

The investigated results by making investigation routes and survey points in 6 habitats types in Pu Luong Nature Reserve have identified that there were 16 species of ladybird belonging 10 genus, in which genus Henosepilachna has the highest number of species (4 species) accounting for 25% and each of Cycloneda, Epilachna and Micraspis have 2 species, accounting for 12.5% and of the 6 remaining genus, each has only one species, accounts for 6.25%. The similarity index between habitats ranged from 0 to 0.89, the highest (SI = 0.89) is between shrub scrub alternating secondary timber tree with around villages and swidden field, the lowest (SI = 0) is between bamboo forest with primary forest and bamboo forest with secondary forest. The number of indicator species and detector species appear mainly in the around the village and swidden field, whereas, there is no indicator species and detector species appear in the primary forest.
