THE GENDER EGO OF YOUNG FEMALE POETS IN CONTEMPORARY VIETNAMESE POETRY

Abstract

Contemporary Vietnamese poetry by female poets expresses the wishes, their desires to express the individual personalities of Asian women after thousands of years of having been bound by feudal ethics. In the diversity of the individualism self that contemporary poetry aspires to express, there is gender ego. The gender ego is both the source and the basis, the essence of lyric poetry which is evident in their poetic works. The article focuses on analyzing the characteristics of the lyrical ego in contemporary Vietnamese young female poetry with the gender ego in arts of creativity, longing for love, happiness and motherhood aspirations
