Besides reading historical documents, descendent generations can study history through literature. Historical novels may helps readers have a visualization of history. Through the language of the novel, history is expressed in the vivid state of life which makes it become attractive and appealing. Reading and learning history through historical novels is an effective way to bring history to each person not only with reason but also with emotion. By surveying historical novels by Phung Van Khai, the article will affirm and promote this effective approach.
