CHARACTERISTICS OF THE SEMANTICS OF THE UANTITATIVE ADJECTIVE GROUP OF THINGS IN VIETNAMESE

Abstract

This article studies characteristics of the semantics of the quantitative adjective group of things in Vietnamese. Research results show that when using the quantitative adjective group of things with the original meaning they have the meaning quantify of things (quantify the size, the weight, the heat, and the distances) and express the number of things.When developing semantics, this adjective group expresses personality, knowledge, psychological-emotional characteristics; the fate of people; time and things, natural phenomena. In particular, the meaning expressing the psychological-emotional characteristics of the human being is a quite remote and different in the predominant nature with a relatively large number.
