Abstract
Logistics plays the key role of connecting stages in the agricultural and seafood products chain because ensuring product quality depends most on the combination of logistics. Nowadays, almost all agricultural and seafood products still have to be transhipped from the Mekong Delta to Ho Chi Minh City for irradiation and export, leading to an increase in logistics costs. Therefore, the authors conducted this research using the Analytical Hierarchy (AHP) and Delphi method to analyze the effectiveness of establishing an irradiation warehouse in Can Tho City, increasing competitive advantage for import-export firms in the Mekong Delta. Results show that implementing the project to establish an irradiation warehouse in Can Tho is effective in terms of 04 criteria: (1) transportation costs, (2) time delays cut-off (closing time), (3) production flexibility, and (4) irradiation cost.
