Impacts of tourism development and residents’ support Case study in Da Lat City

Abstract

This study aims to measure the impact of tourism development on some aspects of the quality of life of residents who live in Da Lat City, thereby determining the level of their support for the city’s tourism development in the future. The study used a linear structural model (PLS-SEM) to measure the impact and relationship between factors. Research results show that residents’ quality of life is positively influenced by the aspects of Market and product development and career opportunities and negatively affected by Cost of life, Waste, and environmental pollution. However, the city’s people are still willing to support tourism development when their quality of life improves.
