Abstract

Employees’ subjective well-being has received attention from scholars and managers in recent years as it affects employees’ job performance. This study aimed to examine whether uncivil behaviors from supervisors and co-workers affect employees’ subjective well-being through the mediating role of work-family enrichment. A sample of 182 check-in staff at Tan Son Nhat International Airport used a Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Model (PLS-SEM) to analyze the data. Research results show that supervisors’ incivility indirectly impacts employees’ subjective well-being through the mediating role of work-family enrichment. The practical implications for airport managers to minimize the negative impact of uncivil behavior on frontline staff were also proposed.
