Abstract

The main purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of information quality on physicians’ satisfaction and continuance intention to use electronic medical records. Using a quantitative approach and analyzing survey data collected from 264 physicians using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). The results of this empirical study indicate that information quality directly impacts physicians’ perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. The results also indicate that physicians’ satisfaction and continuance intention to use the electronic perceived medical records are influenced by their perceived usefulness and ease of use. Therefore, managers and healthcare organizations can promote the use of electronic medical records by physicians through improving the information quality of electronic medical records. Some managerial implications are also discussed.
