The global experiences on developing digital scholarship services

Abstract

Digital scholarship has become a trend in universities around the world. This context requires universities to finds appropriate ways to provide digital scholarship support and services. By analyzing the content of scholarly articles retrieved from Web of Science database on the topic of “digital scholarship” and “digital scholarship services”, this paper shows an overall picture of digital scholarship services around the world in four aspects: (1) digital scholarship services, (2) administration models, (3) required resources, and (4) planning requirements. Thereby, the study outcomes can provide insights and experiences for universities in Vietnam for developing and organising digital scholarship services in order to meet the higher education requirements in digital tranformation context.
