Undergraduate student satisfaction on service quality at Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine in 2021

Abstract
In the context of a market economy with a competitive relationship as the foundation, student satisfaction plays an important role, a key factor in determining competitiveness, enhancing the position and reputation of the university. The study’s objective was to determine the proportion of satisfaction of undergraduate students about the service quality at Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine and related factors. A cross-sectional study was excuted on 536 undergraduate students of the 2nd year to 4th year in 2021. A structural questionnaire included the scale of undergraduate student satisfaction on service quality in higher education and personal characteristics. The study used chi-square test and logistic regression model to determine the relationship between student satisfaction and related factors. The proportion of overall student satisfaction was 50.0%, in which additional services was the highest (64.2%) and campus - classroom was the lowest (50.0%). In addition, gender and majors showed significant difference in overall undergraduate student satisfaction and teaching activities, respectively. The study suggests recommendations to improve the service quality.
