Abstract

The professional ability of preschool teachers is an important condition that determines the success of implementing preschool education programs. In particular, preschool teachers need to have a new system of professional competencies, and the ability to creatively apply advanced educational models and theories in teaching and educating children. The Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) model is considered an inseparable part of children's comprehensive education. This is a process in which learners acquire and apply the knowledge, attitudes, and skills necessary to build a healthy personal identity, set goals, manage behavior, build relationships, and information processing. This article analyzes the role of social-emotional learning in the development of preschool children and the involvement of teachers in this issue. On the other hand, we describe the integration of SEL into everyday teaching practices in every subject to promote the capacity of applying SEL models for pre-service teachers of preschool education.
