Abstract
The ability to assess child development is one of the output standards of many preschool education bachelor's training programs and the Professional Standards for preschool teachers in Vietnam. By systematizing and analyzing previous studies, the article affirms the importance of developing the ability to assess child development for preschool education students; and analyzes some forms of developing the ability to assess child development in preschool education bachelor's training programs of higher education institutions.
