The situasion of problem-solving ability of 5th grade elementary school students

Abstract
The paper reports the results of studying the case of problem-solving ability of 5th grade elementary school students. The sample consists of 730 5th grade students in some elementary schools in 7 provinces such as Hanoi, Lao Cai, Hai Phong, Hue, Dak Lak, Tra Vinh, and Ho Chi Minh City. The research results illustrated that the majority of the students have the medium and low level of expression of problem-solving ability. There were differences between boys and girls in the average scores on the problem-solving subscales/scale, the differences were statistically significant.
