Abstract

The paper summarizes the theoretical basis of language games in teaching IELTS Writing. The author processed a survey with 60 students who are studying IELTS 2 writing subject and 04 lecturers teaching this subject of the advanced program at the Academy of Policy and Development on the application of language games in teaching academic writing (IELTS writing). The research results have confirmed the role of the language games in teaching IELTS writing: creating a happy learning atmosphere and promoting students' motivation; creating an environment to practice writing skills while consolidating and developing vocabulary and grammar for students.
