Teacher professional development - international experience and lessons for Vietnam

Abstract

With the view that “Investment in education is an investment in the future”, many countries around the world, especially those with advanced education, have had preeminent guidelines and policies for fostering education. teacher training in a variety of forms. The article refers to the professional development experiences of teachers in some countries around the world through the following aspects: a) Some theoretical issues about teacher professional development; b) International experiences in the professional development of teachers; c) Lessons for Vietnam on the current professional development of high school teachers.
