Proposed criteria and solutions for ensuring safety when implementing STEM education in Vietnam

Abstract

 STEM education is one of the effective ways to contribute to the achievement of the goal of developing students' qualities and competencies. However, when organizing activities associated with practical contexts in STEM education, there are always many risks of unsafety for students, damage to learning facilities and equipment, and environmental harm. Based on the literature review on safety in STEM education and the exchange and consultation of some teachers who have participated in STEM education organizations in the past time in Vietnam, the article identifies the safety performance criteria in STEM education, thereby proposing appropriate measures to ensure safety when implementing STEM education topics in high schools in Vietnam.
