Abstract

(Danio rerio) shows excellent experimental characteristics, so it is used as an animal model for research in Biology and Biomedicine, especially in human diseases. Our study investigated some factors affecting collection and use of Zebrafish embryos in the teaching and learning practice of Cell Biology and Developmental Biology. Results showed that the time for mating was 45 minutes with the efficiency of fertilization of 89.5%; the number of eggs was about 126 eggs/fish/time, the number of eggs being fertilized was about 113 eggs/fish/time; fish embryos were suitable for using in the practice of cytology and developmental biology as fish embryos developed rapidly, with less time of variation; using fish embryos to make microscope slides observation mitosis: digestion hydrolysis of Zebrafish embryos in HCl 1N at 60C for 10 minutes, staining with orcein 1.25% for 20 minutes and adding 1 drop of acetic acid 45% when form was pressed.
