Abstract

This cross-sectional study was conducted on 450 students of Trang Dinh High School to find out the status of students' reproductive health knowledge. The results showed that the majority of students were aware of physical, physiological and psychological changes when they entered puberty; 80% of students thought that they should not have sex before marriage; 72.6 % of participants were aware that they should use contraception when having sex; the most chosen contraceptive method was condoms (76.9%). However, 12.9% of students did not know about the consequences of premarital sex, 30.4% of students did not know if abortion is a contraceptive method and 20.8% students did not know any contraception. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen measures to enhance the students' knowledge of reproductive health.
