Tóm tắt

In this study, Chitosan/Carrageenan/Lovastatin/Polyaniline biocomposites (CsCLP) with different polyaniline (PANi) concentrations (0-10%) were successfully synthesized via the solution blending method. The chemical structure, morphology, and thermal properties of lovastatin-carried biocomposites were characterized by Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, Field emission scanning electron microscope (FESEM), and Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC). The results revealed that among the CsCLP biocomposites synthesized, the sample CsCLP1955 with 5% wt. of PANi possessed the best dispersion of lovastatin (with the smallest particle size) in the composites. It also showed the smallest melting point (164.8oC) and the most uniform morphology. The ability of biocomposites to release lovastatin in buffer solutions was investigated by UV-Vis spectroscopy analysis. It was found that this ability increased with the presence and the content of PANi in the composites. In the pH 2.0 buffer solution, the released lovastatin content reached 61.7 - 74.3% after 30 hours of testing, whereas in the pH 7.4 buffer, it was slightly better, at 68.5 - 78.1%, with the optimized ratio of PANi of 5% wt.
