The paper focuses on studying theimpact of two critical demographic processes -birth rate and death rate - on the population size andstructure globally, across geographical regions, andin several representative countries. From aquantitative perspective, the research employs thePearson correlation method and a bivariateregression model to measure the extent of influencethat birth and death rates have on changes inpopulation size and structure. Meanwhile, thequalitative method, including analysis, synthesis, and comparison, concentrates on clarifying thecomplex and multifaceted impacts of the birth anddeath rates on the population size and structure inthe territories under study.
