THE LIVING STANDARDS OF THE POPULATION IN BAT TRANG POTTERY VILLAGE, GIA LAM DISTRICT, HANOI CITY

Abstract

Using modern and traditional researchmethods of geography (data collection, dataprocessing, maps and GIS,...) the authors haveclarified the current state of living standards of thepopulation in Bat Trang pottery village throughgroups of economic, education, health, andsupporting indicators. Research results show that theliving standard of the Bat Trang pottery villagepopulation reaches a fairly good level and is evenamong the groups of comparative indicators.However, environmental pollution is a serious issueaffecting the health of pottery villagers. Somesolutions include increasing income, improvinglabor quality to increase income, developing highquality medical facilities, and solving environmentalproblems to improve people's living standards
