Abstract

This study evaluated the ecological adaptation level of Arabica coffee in Mai Son district, Son La province, by integrating the multicriteria decision-making (MCDM) method, the hierarchical process (AHP), and the Geographic Information System (GIS). The study identifies ecological factors influencing Arabica coffee growth to develop a zoning map of ecological suitability in the study region. The results indicate that 44.9% of the natural area is classified as high adaptation level (S1), while 32.6% is medium adaptation level (S2). The resulting map was validated through field verification at 51 points, achieving an overall accuracy of 88%. These findings provide a critical scientific basis for land use planning, production optimization, and promotion of sustainable agricultural development in the Mai Son district.
